Our Roasting Philosophy: The Art of the Fluid Bed

At House of Franks, we’ve moved beyond the traditional drum roasting methods of the past. To achieve the perfect flavor profile, we utilize a fluid bed roasteroften called an "air roaster."

Unlike drum roasters that tumble beans against hot metal surfaces—creating a risk of scorching or a "smoky" aftertaste—our fluid bed technology suspends the beans in a "coffee tornado" of clean, hot air

This convection-based process ensures that every bean is roasted with absolute uniformity

Because there is no contact with hot metal, the result is a brighter, smoother, and cleaner cup that allows the unique characteristics of each origin to shine without bitterness
